Kang Dongyun wins the Fujitsu Cup 2009

20 years old Kang Dongyun managed to win his first world tournament, the 22nd Fujitsu Cup and proved once again that he is one of the most promising korean players.

Kang won all his games by resign (against Iyama Yuta, Piao Wenyao and Park Yeonghun) until the final when he pulled a 2.5 win with white against Lee Changho.

Lee has to be dissapointed because he lost the 20th Fujitsu final to Park Yeonghun and the 21st one to Gu Li (he managed to win it just once, in 1998 against Chang Hao).
