The new old Meijin
Bookmark | < Prev | Next >
Cho U has defended his Meijin title after a fierce fight against Japan's prodigy, Iyama Yuta (the third youngest player that became professional after Cho Chikun and Hashimoto Utaro. He is also the youngest professional to hold a Japanese professional open title (at 16 years old), and the youngest to reach 7-dan rank).

Cho U is know for his territorial play and excellent life and death techniques, his groups just won't die. Never :)

This is the 4th Meijin title for Cho and it seems that he's on the footsteps of his teacher, Rin Kaiho.

Here is game 7 of the series: (SGF file)
